* ACHS will be administering the PSAT on Wed, Oct 15, during periods 1-4 in the gym. The PSAT helps prepare 11th graders to take the SAT, provides entry into scholarship programs, and supports college and career planning. You can learn more about the 2014 PSAT at www.collegeboard.org/psat. We will also have informational flyers in the office and at the ASB Bookkeeper Window. The cost of the test is $20 per student. Sales take place through Wed, Sept 17, at the ASB Bookkeeper Window. Because both the PSAT and the SATwill be redesigned for launch next Fall, we are not recommending the PSAT for 9th and 10th graders this year. As an alternative, we will be offering a free parent night with Princeton Review in January to talk about theredesigned SAT and the ACT, followed by an opportunity to take a practice test that will include 1 hour of sample “new SAT” questions and 1 hour of sample ACT questions.
