Facilities Master Plan

The first ACHS Facilities Master Plan meeting was held last week in our Library.  Our staff gave a lot of valuable input.  All students, parents and staff members who would like to give input are invited to complete the Master Plan Survey on the Survey Monkey website at:

Heat Days

ACHS had three Heat Day Minimum Days this week, on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.  The temperatures soared, and both teachers and students were grateful not having to endure classrooms that were over 100 degrees in the afternoons.  Make-up instructional time will be determined and information will be disseminated when decisions have been made.

Red Ribbon Week Activities

This week ACHS celebrated Red Ribbon Week.  Some of the activities and spirit-events that took place were:

1)  Dress Up Days: including Wake Up Drug Free Pajama Day, Superhero Day, Too Bright for Drugs Neon Day, etc.

       2)  Signage around campus

3)  Elementary School Visit:  Some of our student athletes went on a field trip to Tierra Linda Elementary school to visit with students and promote good decisions.  Our students signed autographs, played with K-5th grade students at lunch recess, talked with the kids and were positive role models for them.

PTSA Sponsored Staff Treat Day

Our amazing PTSA volunteers hosted a Staff Treat Day today in the Staff Cafeteria.  They put on a huge spread of sandwiches, pasta salad, trail mix snacks, fruit, water, brownies, candy, and other items for us to choose from.  They really do take extremely good care of us!
