Teachers’ Choice Awards

This past Monday evening we held our annual Teachers’ Choice Awards Night.  Every teacher had the opportunity to honor one student from each of their classes.  These students could be chosen because of their positive attitude, their desire to learn, their effort, or a myriad of other reasons.  They were chosen at their teacher’s discretion.  The students and their families were invited to attend this evening, where the students were called to the stage to receive their certificate and a pin that they can save to put on their stole at graduation.  It was an exciting evening to honor these deserving students.

Special Olympics Unified Track and Field Meet

Today, we will have seven schools participating in our Special Olympics Unified Track and Field Meet.  We hope that many ACHS students, classes, teachers, as well as district personnel and OUHSD Board Members can come to the stadium sometime during the school day to cheer on the athletes.  The meet will begin at 11:30am and end around 1:30pm.

National Letter of Intent Signing Day

Wednesday of this week two of our student athletes were honored at lunch in the quad by signing their National Letters of Intent.   Alexa Cuevas, Track and Field at UCSB and Emily Macasieb, Water Polo at Cal Lutheran.
