Adolfo Camarillo High School received recognition as a California Distinguished School in 2013 and was further honored by receiving the California Business for Education Excellence 2013 Honor Roll Award, and the U.S. News & World Report Best High Schools Silver Award for 2014. These honors reflect the combined efforts of our students, staff, parents and community. We offer a varied program that meets the needs of all students, from those who struggle to learn to the most gifted. We are dedicated to raising academic standards in all areas; to increasing our student retention; to maintaining a safe, orderly environment for students, staff and visitors; and to providing the best customer service we can to our community family.
DIVERSITY & COLLABORATION
We have an active and effective Associated Student Body, various clubs on campus, and a competitive athletic program. We appreciate the culture diversity of our student body, and we celebrate that diversity by offering a number of cultural events throughout the year. Our successes are the result of motivated students, a caring staff, and committed families. Working together equals success for Adolfo Camarillo High School.
A school-wide goal is to continue with the success we have experienced on the California High School Exit Exam (a graduation requirement), and the new Common Core Smarter Balanced Assessment. In fact, the cornerstones of our site’s on-going Local Improvement Plan are:
- Continued and improved academic success. Maintaining a safe and secure campus. Creating an aesthetically pleasing facility that represents our high standards and an environment where our students will want to learn.
- Fostering an academic atmosphere that encourages parent and community involvement.
