COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER

Preparing for College and Career Planning Steps

Freshmen:

  1. Explore career assessments
  2. Meet your counselor and discuss academic and career plans
  3. Create a 4-year plan w/ counselor
  4. Take rigorous honors and advanced placement classes all 4 years
  5. Maintain a competitive GPA all 4 years
  6. Visit the College & Career Center often

Sophomores:

  1. Review educational and career goals
  2. Further exploration on-line
  3. Take PSAT in October
  4. Begin researching post-secondary options - college and career

Juniors:

  1. Research colleges and schedule visits
  2. Take ROP,CTE, Work Exp. classes
  3. Attend College and Career Fairs
  4. PSAT fall, SAT I/II or ACT in Spring

Seniors:

  1. Senior evaluation with counselor
  2. Attend college/career workshops
  3. Re-take SAT I /II or ACT in Fall
  4. Submit college applications
  5. Apply for Financial Aid/Scholarships
