ACHS Weekly Update

California Women in Agriculture (CWA)

Emily Ruiz and Hannah Swanson represented the Camarillo FFA at the California Women in Agriculture Farm Day in Simi Valley recently.  They educated over 800 third graders about their Supervised Agriculture Experience (SAE) Market Show Lambs.  This is an annual event that is held at a different elementary school in Ventura County each year.  It provides our FFA students the opportunity to develop their public speaking and leadership skills.

Ronald Reagan Scholars

Wednesday evening brought three of our students, Helen Cao, Anna Krevi, and Mallorie Mehrali to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library.  They were honored as Semifinalists for the 2018 Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation Scholars Program with a banquet for themselves and their families.  At the banquet, the finalists were announced.  Our very own Mallorie Mehrali was one of the finalists!!  We are so proud of Mallorie and all that she does as a student leader, a volunteer with many organizations in our Camarillo community and Ventura County, and the kind and selfless young woman that she is.  Congratulations to all three of them!

PTSA Staff Appreciation Luncheon

Our wonderful PTSA parents hosted a Carnival themed luncheon for us last Friday.  There were hot dogs and chili dogs with all the fixin’s, as well as a plethora of other goodies.  It was a fun, festive environment and everyone had a good time.  We appreciate our PTSA volunteers so much, for all they do for our students and our staff.
