SpaceX Launch Party

Teacher Susan Thee had a SpaceX launch party with her third period class on Monday.  Kudo’s to Ms. Thee and Becky Moline for bringing real life and real time science to their science class.  Their students witnessed history and the beginning of a new space exploration revolution.  Today’s launch marked for the first time ever a first stage rocket being recycled for the third time, and the deployment of 64 satellites (the most ever in a single launch).   – By, Scott Martin, Science Dept. Chair

House of Representatives

A student representative from each homeroom class met this past Tuesday in the ASB Room during homeroom period.  General campus concerns and remedies were discussed, as well as an up-coming Spirit Week and a January Winter Dance.  The student reps took the information discussed back to their respective classrooms to share the information with their peers and teachers.

Unified Sports Soccer Game

On Tuesday of this week, our Special Olympics Unified Soccer team took on Rio Mesa in our stadium.  The players on both teams had a great time, and it was a fun game.  Many students came out to watch the game, our cheerleaders were on hand to cheer, and our Music Department showed up to add some music to the excitement and comradery.
