ACHS Weekly Update – December 14, 2018

Drama Department

The last two days of our Drama students’ performance of “You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown” will be tonight and tomorrow.  Tonight the show begins at 7:30pm and tomorrow it begins at 2:30pm.  Doors open a half hour before curtain.  If you haven’t been to see them yet, you don’t want to miss it!

Blood Drive

Our first blood drive of the school year took place on Tuesday and Wednesday this week.  We always have a large turn-out of students and staff who show up to donate, which makes United Blood Services so thankful for all the lives saved through our school’s support.

Music Department

The ACHS Music Department held their Winter Concerts two evenings this week.  The various ensembles performed at the RCHS Performing Arts Center amid an enthusiastic audience.  The performances were breathtaking!  Many thanks to Daniel Cook and Cameron Guerrero who inspire these students to do their best, and to work hard to enable them to put on such outstanding performances!  The December 11th Concert consisted of music from:  Mariachi Alacran, Vocal Ensemble, Jazz Combos, Jazz Ensemble II and Jazz Ensemble I.  The December 12th Concert performances were by Concert Band, String Orchestra, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble and Marching Band.
