PTSA Staff Treat Day

Last Friday our awesome PTSA angels set up a beautiful spread of snacks and hot chicken vegetable soup for our staff in our newly renovated lounge.  It was a nice time to visit and enjoy some goodies.  We appreciate our PTSA very much for all they do for our staff, students and community.

Academic Decathlon Awards

This year the Academic Decathlon teams were given the curricular theme “The 1960s: A Transformational Decade.”  This is a team competition for high school students.  There are 9 students on a team, all from the same high school.  Within each team, there are 3 students who fall into the “A” GPA category, 3 “B” GPA category students and 3 “C” GPA category students.  There are ten events that students compete in.  Students in each grade category compete only against students in their same category.  This is a unique team event in that all levels of students work together to achieve academic excellence.
