9th Grade Registration Night

On Monday evening all incoming Freshman students and parents were invited to come to Adolfo Camarillo High School and turn in their Registration Packets.   There were “Fast Pass” lines at the main office for those who had everything ready to turn in.  Our Library was open with all 40 computers available for parents to complete their on-line registration.  Joseph Gavia, our Registrar, was there to help field questions about the on-line process.  Our counselors were in the Library as well to answer questions parents had regarding classes.   Summer School forms were handed out to those interested in attending.  It was a successful and helpful evening for our Freshman parents.

We have been holding LCAP Meetings on campus this week for students, staff, and parents.  Dr. Stephenson has been speaking to the different groups sharing information with them about LCAP, and getting input from them about what’s working, what needs work, what is missing, and what can be eliminated.  Good discussions have been had and it has been a meaningful process.

Our AVID 2 students had the opportunity to visit UC Santa Barbara on Tuesday.  They were given a tour of the campus, including the Visitor Center and the Admissions Office.  It was a great day for our AVID 2 students to learn more about UCSB, and to be on a college campus during a regular school day.
