AP Exams are on sale now through March 22nd at the ASB Bookkeeper’s Window.  Siblings can receive a discount when they purchase their exams at the same time.  Students are being encouraged to purchase early to avoid long lines right before the deadline.  Forms are available at the ASB Bookkeeper’s Window.

Product Innovation & Design

Students in teacher Peter Wachtel’s classes are learning problem solving and real world skills when it comes to Architecture and Product Innovation & Design.  He encourages them to use their imaginations to come up with creative ideas, then put those ideas on paper and create prototypes.  Below are some of their results.

German American Partnership Program (GAPP)

The GAPP (German American Partnership Program) team arrived from Rothenburg ob der Tauber on Sunday, February 17th.  The past few weeks have been a whirlwind of activity.  German students attend their own custom-made schedule at ACHS every day.  Favorite classes this year are French, Spanish, World Cuisine, Photography, and Swimming.

ACHS teachers have been very welcoming and supportive, and many attended the presentations that the German students held in the library on Monday, February 25th, and Tuesday, February 26th in the ACHS library.  Thanks to Heidi Resnik for her support, flexibility, and enthusiasm.

After school, host families have taken their German visitors to a variety of locations throughout the Ventura and Los Angeles County areas, including the zoo, Santa Monica Pier, Venice Beach, and even Joshua Tree National Park.  Last weekend, American and German students visited Hollywood, Universal Studios, Disneyland, and the Griffith Park Observatory.  On their own, German students also visited the Ronald Reagan Library and the Camarillo House.

Boys’ Golf finished third of fourteen teams at the Calabasas Invitational on Monday!  Congratulations to all!
