ACHS Male and Female Athletes of the Year

Congratulations to our ACHS Male and Female Athletes of the Year!

Jaime Jaquez Jr.

Jaime is a four-year varsity basketball player and a two-year varsity baseball player. He was the Ventura County MVP, Coastal Canyon MVP, and team MVP for 2018–2019 for Basketball.  He is also the 2019 John R. Wooden Award Player of the Year for Division 2 Basketball.

Alex Gonzalez

Alex is a four-year varsity soccer player and the team MVP for 2017-2018.  She was first team All-League, All-County, and All-CIF for 2018-2019.  She ran track for two years, and she was a member of the varsity football team in 2018.

They will be recognized for their accomplishments at the Ventura County Sports Hall of Fame Awards Night in June.

Blood Drive

The count is in from our recent Blood Drive……  Our students and staff donated a total of 176 pints of blood!  Ventura County residents will be blessed with the “gift of life” from these generous and selfless donors.

AVID Program

Our AVID students were actively preparing for the AP Euro exam earlier this week.  See them in action here!

Scholar Athletes of the Year

Congratulations to our Scholar Athletes of the Year!

Seth Meline

Seth has an overall GPA of 3.84 on a 4.0 scale (4.29 on a 5.0) and has competed as a varsity cross-country and track and field athlete.  He is currently ranked the top 800-meter runner in Ventura County and was a MVP for the Boys’ Cross-Country team.

Jaime Wu

Jaime has an overall GPA of 3.91 on a 4.0 scale (4.53 on a 5.0) and is a dual sport athlete.  She was the MVP and team captain of the Girls’ Tennis team.  She is a four-year varsity tennis player and swimmer.

All Varsity Teams 3.0 or higher GPA
