Graduation Rehearsals

Rehearsals are mandatory. Attendance will be taken. Water will be provided; however, it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that students bring their own hydro flask. Please wear a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen. Rehearsals are Monday and Tuesday, June 13th and June 14th, from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. If necessary, we will have an additional rehearsal on Wednesday, June 15th from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

If, for whatever reason, students are absent at rehearsals, the student's seat will be assigned by Ms. Pristera. Mr. La Belle is permitting students to sit where they wish. Valedictorians and Distinguished Honors students will have assigned seating in the front rows.

Therefore, if students are not present, there are no “saving seats” for friends, or asking for a special request, regardless of the reason for the absence. If students are absent, a notification of the seat row and number will be sent via email on Monday, June 13th.  Students must check their email.

Date & Time Wednesday, June 15th at 5:30 p.m.
Location ACHS Stadium

Students will receive their six tickets after rehearsals on Tuesday, June 14th. They will not be distributed before this – no exceptions. The student's name will be highlighted that the tickets were received. Do not lose them – once they are in the student's possession, there are no more. The student's family cannot enter without them. No parent or family member will be permitted to pick them up for the student.

Parking Gates will open at 3:30 p.m. The only gates that will be open to enter the stadium will be from the upper lot and the lower lot.  For safety reasons, there will not be an entry point near the Santa Rosa gate.  Bags will be checked by security upon entrance.  No food will be allowed into the stadium, only water.

Umbrellas will be allowed for sitting in the stands prior to the ceremony.  At 5:30 p.m. sharp, the ceremony will begin and all umbrellas or shade assistance needs to be taken down.

No balloons, air horns, flags, large signs (including bigheads of your student) will be allowed into the stadium. In essence, anything that disrupts the view and enjoyment of the families behind and around you. These items will be confiscated at the gate and you can pick them up after the ceremony.

Students will be in the gym by 3:00 p.m. Students will be checked for proper cap decoration and other items. All cell phones and personal items will be collected and stored in a paper bag in the gym in a box at the end of the student's row. Ceremony begins at 5:30 p.m. sharp.

Stoles - Students can only wear the ACHS stoles that came in their package. The only exception is ASB Cabinet and Senior Class Cabinet who will wear both stoles. Students can wear the cords they received from their organizations. Students CANNOT wear leis of any kind, or anything not mentioned above. They will be taken at the gym or at any time they are seen before or during the ceremony.

During the ceremony – If students have any items that they are not supposed to have, they will be confiscated by the teacher at the end of their row, or an administrator who will be roaming.

After  Ceremony

There will be no gathering on the field after the ceremony. The graduates will immediately depart to the gym and retrieve their items. They will have 30 minutes to do so. Anything left after that can be retrieved on Thursday. You can meet your graduate by and around the gym after the ceremony. Please have a plan beforehand.

Graduation Photos
Date & Time Wednesday, June 14th and 15th at 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Legends photography will be photographing seniors on graduation day. In addition, they will be available on the field from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 14th and Wednesday, June 15th to take pictures in front of the ACHS letters.

This year, they've created a QR code for you to scan. You will then register yourself and up to 6 family members with the link provided. Legends will be taking pictures for the entire graduation (diploma handout, before the ceremony, during, etc.). As long as seniors are registered with the link provided in the code and a clear image of the senior is uploaded, their facial recognition software will send seniors ALL of the pictures of JUST THE STUDENT.

Also, we are not sitting alphabetically, so this is really helpful for you! If you have any questions throughout the process, here is their email:

Graduation Cap Decorating and Etiquette

Please take into consideration the following rules when decorating your graduation cap. Failure to follow these rules could result in walking the line without a cap at graduation.

  1. NO offensive language, sayings, nicknames, pictures or lyrics on cap

  2. NO objects such as signs, stuffed animals, bells, flowers, or any 3D object may rest on the cap

  3. ALL decorations MUST LAY FLAT (one dimensional) on the cap (Nothing can lay perpendicular, thus allowing us to see the decoration beyond eye level)

  4. Your cap CANNOT make noise (No bells, horns, or anything that makes noise)

Along with the above guidelines you may (without prior authorization) decorate your cap to:

  • Recognize the College, University, J.C., U.S. Military Branch, or Tech/Vocational School you will be attending.

Along with the above guidelines you may use one of the following suggestions for appropriate cap decorations:

  • A “Thank You” to a parent, grandparent, teacher, guardian, or mentor

ONLY WITH DIRECT PRIOR APPROVAL by the Principal on Friday, June 10, or Monday, June 13, and within the above guidelines, you may possibly be allowed to use one of the following cap decorations:

  • Inspirational quotes
  • Cultural Representation Items (still one-dimensional)
    • Country colors, Art (i.e. pictures of Frida)

If you are at all unsure, please take a picture and email it to or or We’ll get back to you as quickly as possible. Or, you can bring it to graduation practice.

Please understand that if you don’t get your cap decoration pre-approved, and it veers from these guidelines, it will be confiscated in the gym before we walk and you will not have a cap.
